Toronto Bakes for Japan

This is very long over due.

After spending some time in Japan this past summer I could not just sit back and do nothing for the earthquake and tsunami relief. As soon as I heard about Toronto bakes for Japan I signed up.
I donated Cake Pop for the event and volunteered as well.

Despite the rain, we had a wonderful time and raised nearly $4,000. Our grand total over all venues and events held for Toronto Bakes for Japan we hit our goal of $30,000!!

My Pops for Japan

Some of the Japan inspired art work auctioned off for the event

A sushi inspired cake also auctioned off. YES! its all cake. So incredible, unfortunately I cannot remember who the baker was, shameful I know...  :S

Sparkle & Crunch

Over the last little while I've been working on some new twists for the cake pops. Here are some of what I've created so far...
First we have The Hawaiian! A vanilla bean cake covered in rainbow coloured nonpareils.
So fun and colourful and ummmm so much crunch!

Next up is something I like to call The Chocolate skor! A chocolate toffee cake with pretty sparkly sprinkles on the outside. I couldn't help my self with different colours.

Here are some assorted packaged cake pops all ready to go.

Valentines Day

Here are my Valentine's Day Pops. Some were up for sale at Le Gourmand cafe and the others went to friends and family on the day of hearts :)

The Beginning

Here goes nothing...
I'm starting this blog for The Cake Pop Shoppe. A small business, still in its infancy, destined for greatness.
